Lori Shott, FNP-C
Born and raised in Coos County, Lori Shott is a proud graduate of North Bend High School. She earned her Registered Nurse (RN) degree in 2003 from Southwestern Oregon Community College. Lori later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2016 and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner track, from Simmons University in 2020. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse
Practitioners (AANP).
Lori brings a broad and diverse background in healthcare. Throughout her career she has worked as a bedside hospital nurse, in nursing informatics, case management, labor relations and nurse advocacy, as a nursing instructor, and in rural health clinics serving underserved populations. Her varied experience allows her to approach patient care with both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the challenges patients face in accessing healthcare.
Lori’s philosophy of care is grounded in the belief that healthcare should be a collaborative partnership. She views medical providers as supportive partners who work with patients to develop individualized care plans — never to dictate care or make patients feel belittled if a particular approach does not work for them.
Outside of work, Lori enjoys spending time outdoors and riding horses with her children, embracing the lifestyle and community that make the South Coast such a great place to live.
